Description: Chinese Yixing teapot of Zisha clay, shaped as an 8 wedged pumpkin, with a crouched lion surmounting the lid. The mark at the base reads Gong ju. Gongju was a maker’s mark originally incised or stamped on Yixing teapots made for export to Southeast Asia during the later Qing period.
Dating: Late 19th century
