S50 An agate “Resembling imitation” snuff bottle

Description

Description:  Chinese agate snuff bottle of flattened rounded form and carved on either side with a raised circular panel and with raised oval panels on each shoulder. This is a classical form which elegance relies on its simplicity.

Foot/base:  Oval raised foot and slightly convex base.

Mark:

Dating:  18^th / 19^h century.

Material:  Agate

Size:  47 mm high

Stopper:  Green jade stopper with black glass collar and bone spoon.
