Description:   Chinese porcelain lobed bowl of eggshell type, decorated in black with a landscape and bearing an apocryphal Hongxian mark. The inscription reads”

碧波千里 = blue waves for 1,000 li (for a long way)

庚寅年 = 1950

夏之月 = a summer month

程門笠 = made by Cheng Men “Lixue” (whereas Cheng Men’s nickname was actually the reverse: Xueli 雪笠)

雪作 – 作 means “made (by)”

於珠山 = at Zhushan

The inscription too is apocryphal, because the bowl should more probably be dated a few decades later.

Dating:  1950 – 1990.

Size:  18.3 cm diameter
