M2 A Manchu “Dragon” silver snuff bottle

Description

Description:  Chinese silver snuff bottle, much probably Manchu or of Manchu taste, with incised floral decoration, a dragon and cloud in relief, the dragon coiled around the long neck and embellished with precious stone inlays. A band of ruyis in relief encircling the base of the neck.

Foot/base: Recessed flat base

Mark:  There is an incised character on the base

Dating:  19^th Century.

Material:  Silver

Size:  74 mm high

Stopper:  Original matching silver stopper with stone inlays
