Description
Description: Chinese very black storage jar of squat form, with four minuscule loops, meant to tie the lid with a cord. Although these jars were made since Ming dynasty onward, we reasonably think that this must be of the earlier ones, by the type of ceramic and working.
Dating: Ming period, 15th – 17th century
Size: 17.5 cm high
Provenance: Antiquarian market
