Lidded bowl (chawan) with crane and bearded turtle, 1800-1830

Description

Arita bowl with lid from the late Edo era.  On the outside, cranes and minogame (bearded turtles), both symbols of longevity on an abstract background.  On the inside, a minogame each in the well of bowl and lid.  Around the rim an abstract pattern.
