Description

Plate from the mid-Meiji period, produced in the famous Koransha studio (founded by members of the Fukagawa family) and decorated with abstract geometric as well as stylised floral patterns.

The Koransha trademark (a stylised orchid) as well as "Fukagawa zo" in Japanese kanji characters (overglaze red).
Condition

Excellent – no chips, cracks or repairs. A little bit of rubbing to the enamels.
