Description

Imari bowl from the very last years of the Edo period (“bakumatsu”).  In the well a dragon chasing the flaming pearl.  Around the sides four reserves on a floral background: Two reserves with a phoenix, the other two with a nobleman and -woman from the Heian period.  On the outside various circular reserves with floral and abstract patterns.
