Description
Plate from the early Edo period (late 17th century), decorated with a phoenix and flowers in the typical Kakiemon palette. A plate with similarly high footrim (and identical diameter) but completely different decoration can be found in the catalogue of the Shibata collection, Volume V, no. 23.
