Description

Plate from the mid-Edo period.  In the well, four reserves: Two with shishi,, the other two with a landscape.  Around the rim, scrollwork.  The reverse with blossoms, leaves and vines.  Similar plates can be found in Irene Finch’s “The Lost Century”, no.82 and in the catalogue of the Shibata collection, vol. IV/150.
